Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems

SMCO is excited to offer our next seminar on Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems as it pertains to the 2011 NEC.  Janet Hughes from Austin,​TX, who is a Master E​lectrician and an IREC Certified Master Trainer™ for PV Installation Professional, will be the presenter.  Janet​https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif is currently a full time instructor dedicated to providing education related the growing solar market.  This training is provided courtesy of the Solar Instructor Training Network, a DOE program.

​This class will provide information about installation and inspection of solar photovoltaic systems, including information about types of systems, requirements for ground-mounted and roof-mounted systems, equipment ratings, grounding and bounding of solar photovoltaic systems.  Article 690 of the National Electrical Code has seen many changes addressing solar systems in the last several code cycles.  This seminar will answer many questions associated with this new, innovative and growing area of electrical use.

Who should attend this seminar?  Code officials, electrical contractors, builders, engineers, architects and anyone interested in this growing industry.
